I went to Memphis last week and just in case you didn't see the national news, the heat index was 116 degrees. Well needless to say it was hotter than....
So after a couple of days we came home to Roswell, because the temperature was only 95 degrees and we have trees. I don't mean to imply that Memphis does not have trees, it's just that the trees are the age of the homes. In my dads case about 15 years, that a pretty short tree compared to my trees which are about 75 years old.
Anyway, so we came home to the relative comfort of Roswell. The second day after we got back the heat followed us and it go really hot, that would be on Thursday. I looked out my kitchen window and realized just how hot is was. It was so hot that the coolest place this squirrel found in my yard was the serving tray on my old gas grill.
