The Atlanta Balalaika Society will present “From Moscow to St. Petersburg,” a concert of Russian folk music and song on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 7:30pm at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St., Roswell, GA 30075. The concert will feature the renowned vocal soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic, basso Anatoli Panchoshny singing favorite Russian folk songs. Also featuring domra virtuoso Angelina Galashenkova-Reed, soloist of the Andreyev Balalaika Orchestra of St. Petersburg, Russia and now the Atlanta Balalaika Society’s domra soloist and concert mistress. In addition to orchestra solos, Ms. Galashenkova-Reed will perform Russian and classical selections with Anton Melnichenko, a prize-winning pianist and graduate of the Moscow Conservatory.
